Kristen Phipps (United States, 1993) received a BFA in painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design and a AA from Cowley County Community College. By emphasizing seclusion, Phipps creates poetic wastelands of misty fragmentations that focus on the limbic system of the brain. Using a variety of media, traditional methods are mixed with contemporary photographic methods. She has exhibited her work internationally in Lacoste, France and domestically in Kansas and Georgia. She is currently living and working in Wichita, KS. Currently, you can view Phipps' work at the Alexander Hall Gallery in Savannah, Georgia and City Arts Gallery in Wichita, Kansas.
